Deleting your account
You can delete your Memotaste account at any time, on your own and without asking anyone. This page explains how, and what happens to the data.
Last updated: 30 August 2026
1. From the app or the site
Sign in, open Profile → Account and use Delete account. It takes effect immediately and there is nobody to write to.
The direct path is memotaste.com/profile/account. With no active session it asks you to sign in first, because immediate deletion applies to the account you are signed into.
2. If you cannot sign in
If you have uninstalled the app, lost access, or would rather not sign in, write to [email protected] from the address you registered with and ask for your account to be deleted. There is no charge and we will not ask why; we may ask for a detail that verifies you if the request arrives from a different address, because deleting the wrong account cannot be undone.
3. What is deleted
The account and the data attached to it: profile, credentials, sessions, saved recipes, uploaded images, menus, dietary preferences, notes and the attachments sent with feedback.
Two things survive, and it is fair to know beforehand. Temporary copies in secure backups disappear with the normal overwrite cycle. And public sources created by importing already-public content are not linked to your profile, and may already have been copied by other people into their own collections. The detail, with legal bases and periods, is in the privacy policy.
