Terms and conditions
Clear rules for using Memotaste. Respect sources and other people, check automatically generated recipes, and keep control of the personal content you save.
Last updated: 18 August 2026
1. Who provides the service
Memotaste is an independent project operated by Saverio Mazza. You can contact us at [email protected]. “We”, “our” and “Service” refer to the operator and the website or installable web app available at memotaste.com.
2. What the Service does
The Service lets you create, import, organise, search, adapt, share and plan recipes. Imports can start from public videos, web pages, photos, text or voice. Automated systems may transcribe, translate or structure the content you submit. Features and supported third-party sources may change as the product and those external services evolve.
3. Accounts, information and minimum age
Personal features require an account with accurate, current information. You are responsible for your credentials and should tell us promptly about suspected unauthorised access. The Service is not intended for children under 14. Anyone under 18 should use it with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. You can permanently delete your account from Profile after reviewing the deletion summary.
4. Acceptable use
We grant you a personal, revocable and non-transferable right to use the Service. You must not:
- break the law or infringe copyright, privacy or other rights;
- upload malware or unlawful, abusive, deceptive or harmful content;
- seek unauthorised access or circumvent limits and safeguards;
- overload the Service with abusive automated requests;
- copy or commercially exploit our software, brand or interface except where the law permits it.
5. Your content and imported recipes
You retain rights in original text, photos and recipes you submit. You grant us only the non-exclusive licence needed to host, process, convert and display that content to provide the features you request. It ends when the content or account is deleted, except for temporary technical copies and legal retention duties.
Importing a public URL may create a deduplicated source card in the shared library, attributed to the original source rather than your profile. Your personal copy remains private. Deleting your account removes that personal copy, but not necessarily a source-only card that contains no personal data and may also be used by others.
A share link is accessible to anyone who receives it; it does not by itself publish a recipe in Discover or make it indexable by search engines. Do not submit personal data or material you have no right to use or share.
6. Third-party sources and services
External videos, sites, channels and recipes belong to their respective owners. Importing does not transfer rights and does not imply an affiliation with TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, Google or any other named service. Follow their terms. We may remove or restrict a source after a credible rights report or when it is no longer available.
7. Automation, allergies and food safety
Automated transcripts, quantities, timings, translations, substitutions and suggestions can be incomplete or wrong. Always check the source, ingredient labels, temperatures and safe cooking guidance. The Service is not medical, nutritional or dietetic advice and cannot guarantee that a recipe is free from allergens or contamination. Seek qualified advice for allergies, pregnancy, medical conditions or clinical dietary needs.
8. Free features, limits and future payments
Core features are currently free; some AI operations may have monthly limits. If we introduce paid plans, the total price, duration, renewal, cancellation and any additional conditions will be shown before purchase. No payment is due without your explicit action.
9. Availability, suspension and termination
We aim to keep the Service secure and available but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may maintain, change or discontinue features. We may restrict or close accounts to protect the Service, comply with law or address a serious or repeated breach. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
10. Responsibility and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect loss, lost profits or data, external content, or decisions made from an automatically generated recipe. Nothing excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including mandatory consumer protections.
11. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Italian law. The courts determined by applicable law have jurisdiction; consumers keep the mandatory rights and forum protections of their country of residence.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these terms when the Service or law changes. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice where practical. Continuing to use the Service after they take effect means accepting the updated terms. Questions and rights reports can be sent to [email protected].
