Memotaste is an independent Italian project, built for people who love cooking and want a recipe box that behaves like one: no intrusive advertising, no wall of storytelling before the ingredients. The optional statistics exist only to show where the experience gets stuck, and they can be refused.
The mission
To help people who are short of time but not willing to eat badly. We believe cooking at home is the simplest way to stay healthy, spend less and look after yourself, and that almost every obstacle to doing it daily comes from a missing system rather than a missing appetite. The app is that system: it collects your recipes, makes them searchable and helps you plan the week.
How the project works
A small team, code written and maintained in Italy, no venture capital. There is a free plan with a monthly allowance of imports, and a paid plan for people who need more; the price is always shown before anything is bought, and it is bought on this website rather than through an app store.
- Content: personal recipes start private. A share link makes one reachable by whoever receives it; publishing it to the public library is a separate, deliberate choice.
- Moderation: published recipes can be reported from the page itself. We read every report and remove what breaks the terms.
- Data: handled as described in the privacy policy. We do not sell personal data.
Who is behind it
The project is led by Saverio Mazza (Founder & Product), an engineer with a background in data platforms and consumer products. Memotaste started in 2025 from a personal need: one place for saved recipes and weekly plans, instead of five different apps.
